About Us
The Ratchet Shop is the trading name for AVT Imports, set up by husband and wife team
Paul and Ann Totman in 1999. Now in business for over 10 years, AVT has moved from
a house garage to today’s purpose built industrial premises.
Paul Totman started on his own as a young man in the Demolition Business and at one
time had a large, thriving company working all over the UK. Finally frustrated by the ever
increasing amounts of paperwork he switched his business interests to retail.
With his wealth of knowledge of construction he was able to establish an impressive range
of products which are all correctly tested, certified and guaranteed.
The business continues to develop and diversify with a wide range of lifting and lashing
products and safety equipment.
Offering next-day delivery we hope you will be impressed by our commitment and dedication
